Carol L. Hussey, 72, of Franklin Grove, died June 6, 2011, at her home. She worked for Evergreen Travel Club, Franklin Grove, for 21 years prior to her retirement.
Carol was born, January 31, 1939, in Amboy, the daughter of Fred V. and Olive (Beede) Kesselring. She married William B. Hussey on February 10, 1957, in Franklin Grove. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1990. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Dixon.
Survivors include one son William “Mark” (Debra) Hussey of Ashton; two daughters, Debra L. (Jeff) Howard of Anderson, IN, Teri L. (James) Wolber of Franklin Grove; two sisters, Janet Kesselring-Spangler of Chico, CA, Judy Messer of Ashton; close family friend, Anker Klausen of Franklin Grove; 11 grandchildren, Douglas Hussey, Matt (Emily Hilliker) Hussey, Michael Hussey, John (Mandy) Atkinson, Mandi (Darin Hall) Atkinson, Hope Howard, Lindsey (Eric Silcox) Wolber, Kyle Wolber, Candice Wolber, Cristy Jean Jackson, and James Wesley Wolber; and one great grandson, Travis Atkinson.
Carol was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2011, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with Jack Coleman, reader for First Church of Christ Scientist, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be from 2-8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with family present from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m.
